Eshott Hall Triumphs

32 Triumphs from the 1960s and 70s descended in sunshine on Eshott Hall on Sunday 27 April, National Drive It Day. Arriving in convoy, there was just enough space to get the vehicles economically parked around the Hall. Owners, all members of the Triumph Stag Owners Club and the TR Register, then waived at our drone carefully positioned one hundred feet above the front lawn for a fantastic overhead photo of the cars in front of the 17th century Hall.
Roland, one of the organisers of the event, commented “We were then beckoned into the ballroom where we received a well presented and extremely interesting history of the Hall and estate and also heard the exciting plans for the future of the estate. The visit was completed with cream teas – tasty homemade scones with lashings of jam & fresh cream”.

Drive It Day is an annual event in the UK, organized by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs (FBHVC). It celebrates the heritage of historic vehicles and raises awareness about their preservation. The event is inspired by the “One Thousand Mile Trial” of 1900, which was a pioneering journey to prove the viability of motor vehicles.
Drive It Day encourages enthusiasts to take their classic cars, motorcycles, and other historic vehicles out on the roads. It’s also a fundraising opportunity, with proceeds supporting the NSPCC’s Childline.
