Understanding The Protestant Reformation
Sunday 24th – Wednesday 27th March 2019
Why does the Protestant Reformation matter today?
This three-day residential seminar, led by Michael Bourke, former Bishop of Wolverhampton, aims to deliver a deeper understanding of how the events of the 16th and 17th centuries changed the course of history and shaped early modern Christian thought. Through discussion of the traditions of Catholicism, Protestantism, and ‘radical’ Protestantism and the personalities and events of the period, you will understand why the Reformation period has such significance on the modern world, 500 years on.
